Description<br /><br />Ranikot Fort, also known as the Great Wall of Sindh, is one of the largest forts in the world, located in Jamshoro District, Sindh, Pakistan. With a wall stretching nearly 32 kilometers, this fort is often referred to as the “Great Wall of Pakistan.” But the biggest mystery still remains – who actually built it, and why?<br /><br />Most archaeologists and researchers believe that the current structure of Ranikot, especially its walls and gates, was constructed or renovated during the Talpur dynasty (1780–1820). Carbon dating tests from the mortar of the Sann Gate also confirm its 18th–19th century origin.<br /><br />However, some local traditions and alternative theories claim that the fort may date back to much earlier times, possibly linked to the Saka, Parthian, Sassanian, or even Achaemenid Empires.
